Anamorph is a free web app, made and run by Mattias Hindfelt in Sweden, hosted at space.0x4d.in. It turns a portrait you upload into an anamorphic point-cloud sculpture: thousands of small forms hanging at different depths that line up into your image from one exact viewing angle, and into a hidden word half a turn later. You compose the piece in the browser and Anamorph renders it as a seamless looping MP4 video, which you can export directly or have rendered on the server and sent to you by email.
Why Anamorph asks you to sign in with Google: so it can tell whose renders are whose, apply the free daily render limit fairly, and email you the finished video. Signing in requests only your name, email address, and profile — the openid email profile scopes. Anamorph never asks for and cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google data.
What happens to your images: uploads are used only to render your own video. They are never used to train models and never sold or shared. Finished videos are deleted as soon as you download them and in any case within 24 hours; configurations are deleted within 30 days.
